Gurney Conference Table
Again, part of the benefit of custom designed furniture is its ability to adapt. In this case, the client already had some custom furniture from a couple of years back but needed a cool conference table to match. Not a problem.
We measured out what they had, designed to match, and then added a little twist: a custom shaped bamboo ply top. The room it lives in is very angular, as is the table’s undercarriage, and the bamboo has a very linear quality as well. We countered those two elements by giving the top an organic shape and the effect worked; the table acts as an inviting centerpiece. We fabricated the undercarriage out of square steel tube, some round tube for contrast, and put it all on European casters. |
