His studio is on the 4th floor of an old brick warehouse and has a great combination of old floors, huge windows, and cool new lighting and cabinets. Its warehouse feel lent nicely to our industrial way of thinking, so we started with raw steel legs and privacy panel uprights. For the kick panels we had galvanized steel formed up with cross breaks and we mounted them between the legs. On the tops of those panels, we mounted custom cable trays or “troughs” to catch cables coming down through the desk cable dumps. The wood surfaces we stain matched to his new cabinets and floor, and added a pvc edgeband for protection.
